Ever since I first saw an image through the ground glass of a medium-format camera, which seemed magical and astoundingly three-dimensional to me, I wanted to use that image for filmmaking.The opportunity came when I had the chance to shoot the film Diorama directed by Vida Skerk.

The theme of the film is the fragility and unreliability of memory, so I conceived a visual concept that would emphasize this with its softness and extremely shallow depth of field. The setting of the film suggests the feeling of a diorama, a miniature, which could be somewhat achieved using a tilt-shift lens, but I wanted a more comprehensive approach.I made a device that acts as an adapter for a digital camera. For filming, I used a large-format Industar 37 lens, and its image is projected onto a ground-glass-like surface, which is then captured by a digital camera. The large-format digital system allows for manual focusing during filming, as well as 'tilt' and 'shift' movements of the lens.

When a handsome young man appears at the gathering and captures Sara's attention, tensions between Lana and Sara surface from the subconscious and become clear to everyone. Or do they?

Matej is an 28-years old young man with autism who is living with his mother and acting in a professional play.
